Wins two more prestigious honours at the 2017 Australian Cider Awards

Last year saw the largest ever field of entries for these prestigious awards, with 250 local and international ciders taking part. Honoured at a gala dinner in Melbourne, the ‘Best in Show’ award came despite stiff competition from a host of new craft entrants to the fast-emerging cider category.

In recognition, the judges said that Magners Original Apple was awarded the top prize because “it displayed a perfect balance of sugar, tannin and overall complexity combined with toasty, savoury, creamy notes – the ‘wow’ factor that helped this product rise to the top”.

RUM FRONTIERS BARTENDING COMPETITION 2017 – NATIONAL FINAL

Firstly, we would like to thank all of the bartenders who entered the competition and the bar managers and owners who supported them to do so. We had over 40 entries and the caliber of the submissions was truly exceptional.
We sought the input of 8 independent judges from the industry to select our finalists. However, after much debate, we simply couldn’t get the number down to 10. Thus, Lighthouse Group Indochina and Flor De Cana have decided to make an exception for this year’s competition selecting 12 Finalists.

The twelve bartenders who will be competing in the National Final are:

RUM FRONTIERS BARTENDING COMPETITION 2017 has officially begun!
